Kumasi Market

The Kumasi Market is the largest in West Africa. It is 100 years old, has 9500 stalls costing less than $2 per month, and is fully booked all the time. We negotiated the narrow streets in our huge bus. It was really tight but we didn't run anyone over or knock anything down. Though  a couple of umbrella had to be adjusted.

They are in the process of building a new market building to replace many of the tin roofed stalls.

We really enjoyed our tour through the fabric section. Did I mention that Ghana is the place for textiles?
