Batik

Auntie Grace runs a batik studio in Accra. She has a shop where she sells her fabric as well as clothing made from her fabric

It starts with Stamping  a length of white cotton with sponge stamps dipped in wax.

The cloth is dipped in dye which doesn't seem to be the right color. My red cloth was green when first dipped. 

The cloth is turned over and over then  Hung on a line until it is mostly dry. 

The cloth is then boiled to remove the wax.

I did 2 colors, red first then I added additional wax and dipped it into purple.
