Hanoi

Vietnam is really different. I was afraid it would be more of the same. It's not! Hanoi is really old - a thousand years old. There is a French quarter that is pretty European, wide streets and fancy buildings but even it is full of narrow buildings and lots of shops. The old quarter where our hotelis has narrow winding streets. And there are trees every where. Really lovely. However there are millions of motor bikes streaming through the streets.
We went on a rickshaw ride through the French quarter on our way to the Ho Chi Minh mosoleum. It was really interesting to see what can be fit in a very narrow space.

This is Ho Chi Minh's house.

It has an office and a bedroom and presumably a bathroom on the second floor.

This is the ground floor.

A real tree house.
