Paris

Spring is coming to Paris - honest. Doesn't mean it isn't cold, rainy and windy but every now and again the sun comes out and everything sparkles.

Though the day could start off with a proper French breakfast, we broke down this morning and went out for American breakfast, eggs, sausage and toast for me, breakfast burrito for Tom.

During our Marais walking tour the guide showed this chunk of limestone with fosselized seashell, harking back to another era. Many of the old buildings are built from stone quarried right in Paris. Who knew?

Lovely sunny day in Rodin's garden. They have a massive collection not just big stuff, lots of stuff. You know what in the background.

While we were there we kept hearing car horns. An Uber demonstration against recent concessions to the Taxi unions. Lots of stopped black cars and lots of police in full riot gear. We couldn't get out of there fast enough

This is what you want to serve at your next fancy dinner party. All made in house .

I just love these art nouveau metro stations.

This fancy desert made Peter a happy man.
