1. We like being outside. Even if there are lots of mosquitos.
2. Food taste better outside. And if the meal planning is shared wonderful meals result.
3. Everyone gets dirty and that's ok.
4. Lots of relaxing happens, books get read, naps in hammocks, chatting and card playing.
5. There is no cell phone reception
We don't travel lightly we crammed the suburban full of stuff that would not fit in the rest of the cars. But we had a huge wall tent, 2 smaller ones, cots for grandparents who slept under the stars, solar powered lights, play pens, high chairs, bar-b-que and way too much beer and food. Good time was had by all. We have a reservation for next Fouth of July weekend already.
